Like other wrinkle relaxers, Daxxify quiets the small muscles that fold the skin when you frown, squint, or raise the brows. It interrupts the signal from nerve to muscle, so the chosen muscle rests and the skin above it is no longer creased with every expression. The same easing can quiet a stronger pull that has begun to weigh on the face, letting it sit more openly.
What distinguishes it is its peptide formulation. The peptide stabilizes the medicine and, for many, lets the effect begin a touch sooner and hold a little longer than other relaxers. The principle is the same as the others. The arrival, and the staying, are simply a little different.
The consultation
Before anything is decided, your provider reads the face: how the brow lifts, where the frown gathers, what has been worn in over the years. The plan is drawn from what we see, not from a chart. There is little to do to prepare. If you bruise easily, you may set aside alcohol and blood thinners for a few days, with your doctor's blessing.
The visit
A few small injections are placed in the muscles your provider has chosen, no preparation required. The needle is fine and the amounts small. Most people are surprised how quickly it is done, and return to the rest of the day at once.
The days that follow
For the first evening, stay upright for a few hours, leave the area alone, and set aside hard exercise for the day. The result arrives gradually, the first easing often within the first few days and the fuller effect by about three weeks.
