A wide or heavy jaw, where the lower face reads square or broad, is often a matter of the masseter, the strong chewing muscle at the angle of the jaw. In those who clench, grind, or have naturally large masseters, the muscle bulks and widens the lower face.
Where the width is muscular, a relaxer placed into the masseter eases it, and over the months the muscle softens and the lower face slims. Where the width is bone, the muscle work will not change it, which is read carefully first.
