Downturned mouth corners are corners that sit lower than the rest of the lip line at rest, pulling the mouth into a faint frown and lending a tired or unhappy look that has little to do with mood. A small muscle at each corner, the depressor anguli oris, draws the corner downward, and over the years its constant pull settles the corner low.
