Areas We Treat

The Under-Eye

The delicate skin below the eye, where a hollow, a shadow, or a small roll can make the face read tired.

About this area

Where the face shows its tiredness

The under-eye is the thin, delicate skin that sits between the lower lash line and the cheek. It is among the first places a face shows fatigue, and among the most easily over-treated, which is why we approach it with particular caution.

Two quite different concerns live here. A hollow, where the tissue beneath the eye has thinned and the area casts a shadow, is a question of lost volume. A roll that rises just below the lash line when you smile is a question of muscle. The first is met with a careful filler, the second with a small dose of relaxer, and telling them apart is the whole of the work.

How this area changes over time

How the shadow settles in

For many the under-eye is the first place age shows, often in the thirties, as the fat beneath the eye thins and the groove between lid and cheek begins to deepen into a shadow. Through the forties and beyond the hollow tends to grow, and the skin thins further, so a treatment that suited the area at one stage may not at the next.

The muscle roll is less about age and more about anatomy, present from early on in some faces and visible mainly when smiling. It changes little with the years, but becomes more noticeable as the surrounding skin thins.

Sarah is so naturally kind and knows her profession very good. She keeps you so calm by asking how you are doing and having good conversation with you while doing procedures. I absolutely love her sweet personality. I had laser done on my legs from years of sun damage and it went so smooth. Thanks Sarah! The whole team is so professional and nice.
